Who is this course for?
This course is designed for parents, grandparents, carers, and anyone caring for infants and children. No prior first aid knowledge or medical background is needed.
Is this course accredited?
No. This is a non-accredited education session. The focus is on practical, real-life skills and confidence rather than formal assessment or certificates.
Who runs the course?
The course is delivered by a Registered Nurse with extensive experience in paediatric and emergency nursing, ensuring education is evidence-based, current, and practical.
What topics are covered?
Topics include infant and child CPR, choking and gagging, allergies and anaphylaxis, common childhood illnesses and injuries, and when to seek medical help. Content is tailored to what parents are most likely to encounter at home.
Will I get hands-on practice?
Yes. The course prioritises hands-on learning using realistic scenarios to help you feel confident applying skills under pressure.
How long is the course?
The course runs for approximately 2 hours, allowing plenty of time for questions, discussion, and practice.
Can I bring my baby or child?
Yes. Babies are welcome, and we understand the realities of caring for young children. We aim to provide a relaxed, supportive environment.
Do I need to provide anything?
No special equipment is required. All training materials are provided. A HDMI TV is recommended for plug in of the course presentation, however this is not critical - A Lil Darlings laptop is suffice for your instructor to teach. Just bring yourself and a willingness to learn.
Is this suitable if I’m nervous or anxious about emergencies?
Absolutely. The course is designed to reduce fear, build understanding, and support calm, confident decision-making.
How many people are in each session?
Sessions are kept small (2–4 participants) to ensure personalised education and plenty of opportunity for hands-on practice.
Where is the course held?
Courses are delivered in the comfort of your home or a private setting, making learning relaxed and practical.
How much does the course cost?
The cost is $200 per person. Small group sessions allow for tailored education and individual support.

Questions are encouraged. While the course provides general education, scenarios and discussions can be tailored to common family concerns.
