1. Introduction

These Terms of Service govern participation in all baby and child first aid education sessions provided by Lil Darlings First Aid. By booking, paying for, or attending a course, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Nature of the Service

Lil Darlings First Aid provides non-accredited first aid education for parents, caregivers, and families of infants and children. The education is designed to improve knowledge, confidence, and practical skills but does not replace professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Attendance at a course does not result in a nationally recognised qualification or certification.

3. Scope and Limitations

  • All education is delivered by a Registered Nurse and is evidence-based and current at the time of teaching.

  • Course content is general in nature and intended for educational purposes only.

  • Participants are responsible for their own decisions and actions when applying skills taught.

  • Lil Darlings First Aid makes no guarantee regarding outcomes, injury prevention, or effectiveness of responses in real-life situations.

4. Participant Responsibilities

Participants agree to:

  • Act respectfully toward the educator and other participants

  • Follow all safety instructions during demonstrations and hands-on practice

  • Advise the educator of any injury, medical condition, or pregnancy that may affect participation

  • Supervise their own children at all times during the session

5. Children at Sessions

Babies and children are welcome to attend sessions. Parents and caregivers remain solely responsible for the supervision, safety, and wellbeing of their children throughout the course. Lil Darlings First Aid accepts no responsibility for injury, loss, or damage except where required by law.

6. Bookings and Payment

  • All bookings must be made in advance.

  • Full payment is required to secure a place unless otherwise agreed.

  • Fees are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD) and may be subject to change.

7. Cancellations and Refunds

  • Cancellations made more than 72 hours prior to the session may be eligible for rescheduling or a partial refund of 50% at our discretion.

  • Cancellations within 48 hours of the session may result in forfeiture of the course fee.

  • If Lil Darlings First Aid cancels or reschedules a session, participants will be offered a refund or alternative date.

8. Illness and Infection Control

Participants who are unwell or experiencing contagious illness should not attend. We reserve the right to refuse attendance where a participant’s illness may pose a risk to others.

9. Intellectual Property

All course materials, resources, presentations, and content remain the intellectual property of Lil Darlings First Aid. Materials must not be copied, shared, reproduced, or used for commercial purposes without written permission.

10. Privacy

Lil Darlings First Aid respects your privacy and manages personal information in accordance with Australian privacy legislation. Personal information collected is used solely for bookings, communication, and service delivery and will not be disclosed unless required by law.

11. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Lil Darlings First Aid excludes liability for any loss, injury, or damage arising from participation in the course.

  • Liability is limited to the amount paid for the course.

  • Nothing in these Terms limits rights under Australian Consumer Law.

12. Changes to Terms

Lil Darlings First Aid reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. The Terms in place at the time of booking will apply.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of Australian courts.
